He could feel his knees press to the floor, and he smiled in spite of himself. Like the fires that burned brighter and hotter in wasted effort, and the ripe apples that fell wasted into melancholy browns.
“Yes?” All of his devotion, all of his love.
Eyelids pressed shut, lips forming into a smile, “I love you” White porcelain dabbed with a twinge of pink.
He smiled again. The angels held there breath, and fell to awe. Perfection.
